Ever since I started properly blogging, I hoped my words were reaching someone out there. I know that blogging is not about the numbers, but I couldn’t help being excited about a hint or two that people were actually reading my writing. It took a lot of wistful staring at the stats page and swallowing my fear to talk to veteran bloggers and, of course, actually posting content (more or less) regularly.
And a year or two later, there are suddenly 300 of you.
Granted, some of those 300 are probably not even real people (robots or spammers or robot spammers?). And yes, it’s not all about the numbers. But regardless of all that, behind that number is an indication that at least some people are taking the time to read a flash fiction here or a literary rant there. And that makes me very happy.
